The first of five Huskies to win the award on offense, Brostek was a four-year starter at center for the University of Washington before being drafted in the first round as the 23rd overall pick by the Los Angeles Rams in 1990.  Played seven seasons for the Rams, including a streak of four years without missing a start. Topping that, in 1992, he didn’t miss a down during the Rams season. He played for eight seasons in the NFL and is now a high school football coach in Hawaii where, among others, he coached former Seahawk Max Unger.
