For Kenyon Coleman 2001 was a great example of how to take advantage of a second chance. Three games into his senior season in 2000 he suffered a knee injury. He was given a medical red shirt and came back with a stellar 2001 campaign. He earned third-team All-America honors and was a first-team All-Pac-10 selection while starting all 11 games. He was taken in the fifth round of the 2002 NFL Draft by the Oakland Raiders and had a 13 year career in the league with Oakland, Dallas, New York, Cleveland and New Orleans.
