The 2017 Morris Trophy defensive winner has the longest name in Morris Trophy history. Tevita Tuliʻakiʻono Tuipulotu Mosese Vaʻhae Fehoko Faletau Vea is better known as Vita Vea. Vea played at the University of Washington. He was a second team All-Pac-12 pick in 2016 and was first team in addition to being named the conference defensive player of the year in 2017. In April of 2018 he was selected with the 12th overall pick by Tampa Bay in the NFL draft. He joins Steve Emtman and Lincoln Kennedy as Washington Huskies who won the Morris Trophy and were then first round NFL draft picks.
