Eaton played for three years at WSU on teams that won the Copper Bowl (1992) and the Alamo Bowl (1994). He garnered first-team All-Pac-10 honors as a senior in 1994, as well as All-America honors from both UPI and the AP. Eaton was also selected to play in both the East-West Shrine Game and the Hula Bowl following his final campaign. Eaton was drafted by the New England Patriots in the 1995 NFL Draft and was on the Patriots team that played in Super Bowl XXXI. He also spent time with Seattle and Dallas and played in 103 NFL games before retiring prior to the 2005 season.
