Named All PAC-10 in his junior season, he was also named a consensus All American. Decided to turned pro at that point and was drafted by the Chicago Bears in 1998 as the 64th overall pick in the third round. He was a six time Pro Bowler and made one All Pro team. He started 182 games for the Bears, second in number only to Walter Payton. He was selected to NFL All-Decade Team for the 2000’s. He started for the Bears in Super Bowl XLI.
