Ward anchored the middle of the Huskies offensive line for four seasons including the Rose Bowl winning team from the 2000 season. He worked his way into the starting lineup four games into his freshman season and started every game for the next three and a half seasons. Ward was named the Pac 10 Lineman of the Year his seniors season and was an All Conference pick as well. He was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the sixth round of the 2001 NFL draft. He returned to Seattle in January of 2015 as the featured speaker at the Morris Trophy lunch.
