Photo courtesy Baltimore Ravens A consensus All-American in 2005 at Oregon, Ngata was also named the Pac 10 Defensive Player of the Year, the first Duck to given the award in 43 years.  Ngata was a valuable special teams player with seven blocked kicks during his Oregon career.  One of 27 Morris Trophy winners who were also first round draft picks, he was taken 12th overall in the 2006 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens. A two time NFL All-Pro pick, he started for the Ravens in their win in Super Bowl XLVII. After nine years in Baltimore he was traded to Detroit where he is still playing in the NFL.
