By the time he had finished his career at Cal O’Callaghan was considered one of the top right tackles in college football. A two time All Pac 10 pick, he started 35 games during his career with the Golden Bears. He blocked for a 2000 yard rusher in 2004 (J.J. Arrington) and two 1000 yard rushers in 2005 (Marshawn Lynch and Justin Forsett). He was taken by New England in the fifth round of the 2006 NFL draft and spent three years with the Patriots and then three years with the Chiefs, appearing in 51 NFL games.
