Bruschi left the college game as co-holder of the NCAA career sack record with 52 after earning first-team All-Pac-10 honors his final three seasons. He was a unanimous All-America selection in 1995, a consensus first-team pick in 1994 and 2nd-team Associated Press All-American in 1993 as part of the Wildcats’ “Desert Swarm” defense that set a Pac-10 record in allowing only 33 rushing yards per game in 1993. Taken by the New England Patriots in the third round of the 1996 NFL Draft, Bruschi went on to a remarkable career as a Pro-Bowl linebacker through 2008. He is one of seven Morris Trophy winners to also own a Super Bowl ring. Matter of fact, he has three of them from Patriot wins in Super Bowls XXXVI, XXXVIII, and XXXIX.
