One of the most decorated players in Arizona football history Tofflemire is considered the best lineman in Wildcat history and is ranked as the seventh best player all time at UA. He was a three-time first-team All-Pacific-10 Conference center from 1986 to 1988 and earned first-team All-America honors from Football News his senior year.  Taken 44th overall by Seattle in the second round of the 1989 NFL Draft, he played six years in the league for the Seahawks and was elected to the Arizona Sports Hall of Fame in 1994.
