One of four Morris Trophy winners also in the NFL Pro Football Hall of Fame.  McDaniel played guard for Arizona State University. A tremendous overall athletes who also excelled at track and field in high school, he came to ASU as a tight end but switched to guard and was a starter from his freshman season on. He anchored the offensive line for ASU’s Rose Bowl winning team in 1987. He was the 19th overall pick in the first round of the 1988 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings.  He also played for the Tampa Bay Bucs and started in 12 consecutive Pro Bowls his 13-year NFL career. McDaniel is a member of the National Football Foundation College Hall of Fame and the Minnesota Vikings “Ring of Honor.”
