In 2002 Suggs had one of the most impressive seasons in PAC 10 history. He set the NCAA record for sacks with 24, was named the league’s Defensive Player of the Year and was a unanimous All American pick. In addition to the Morris Trophy he won the Ted Hendricks Award, the Lombardi Trophy and the Bronko Nagurski Trophy.  He holds ASU’s career record for sacks with 44 and tackles for loss with 65.5. He was taken in the first round of the 2003 NFL draft by the Ravens and was named the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2003. He is the Ravens all time sacks leader and helped lead them to a win in Super Bowl XLVII. At 33 years of age in 2016 he is the oldest Morris Trophy winner still active in the NFL.
