Nate Orchard

Orchard earned the award after a record-breaking season for the Utes. He paced the Pac-12 with a FBS-leading 1.46 sacks per game as he piled up a school-record 17.5 sacks on the way to earning Walter Camp first-team All-America and All-Pac-12 first-team honors. Orchard, who has played in all 49 games in four seasons with 35 starts, was second on the squad with 81 tackles (6.8 per game) and was fourth in the FBS with 20.0 tackles for loss (1.7 per game). He earned Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week twice during the 2014 season. It marked the second time in four years the Utes nabbed the award (Star Lotelelei in 2011). He was selected by the Browns in the second round of the NFL draft.
